Lazy tofu

Ingredients 1 block extra firm tofu
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
dash pepper
sprinkle red chilli flakes
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tsp vinegar (optional)br> drizzle sirachia

Instructions

  1. start by pressing the tofu for 15-20 minutes
  2. cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  3. add all the ingredients to a large tupperware
  4. dump the tofu cubes into the tupperware and shake (mildly aggressively) until fully saturated
  5. cook at 400 in the air frier for 12 minutes or at 425 in the oven for 18 minutes

About This Recipe

whenever i make tofu, i make some sort of dish like this. i never remember to do anything ahead of time, but in the time the tofu presses and cooks, the rice maker finishes which works out well

i usually add some combination of broccoli, kimchi, carrots, etc. for veggies. If you want some extra crisp/thickness, add a heaping tablespoon of corn starch

i do NOT recommend adding salt on top of the soy sauce unless you just really like salt. also the temps and times are fully made up. they should work, i think

pressing tofu can be a pain, but sandwiching the tofu between two cutting boards works well for me. make sure to add some paper towel between the cutting boards. add a weight (like a cast iron pan) on top to apply pressure
